My interest in how people's thoughts impact their lives began while attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks. After graduating, my motivation to assist others led me to obtain my Clinical Social Work license in 2003. I have provided services in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient counseling, behavioral health emergency services, school-based programs, and wilderness experiences. My roles have varied from direct service provider to clinical director, allowing me to work with individuals from diverse communities and cultures across Alaska.
I named my practice Midnight Sun Counseling and Consulting to honor the location where my passion for this work began. Additionally, the "Midnight Sun" serves as a powerful symbol of changing seasons. When I'm not working, I enjoy reading, cooking, exploring the outdoors, tinkering, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
